London's 22nd Annual Festival of Traditional Irish Music 'Return to London Town' returned for the weekend of Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2020 and, wherever you are, you can relive the event with recordings of the Trad Cinema and Irish Night at Cadogan house.

Trad Cinema

'Filmed on location at The Dock Arts Centre, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim - Return to London Town's 'Trad Cinema' will feature concert performances and short interviews from internationally renowned traditional Irish artists: Dervish (Sligo), Noreen O'Sullivan, Seán and Frankie Gavin with George Grasso (Galway)  and Gatehouse (Roscommon).

 

The specially commissioned concert is available on demand until Saturday October 31st at midnight Ireland time.

This LIVE event from Cadogan Hall gathered some of the finest exponents of traditional Irish music, song and dance.

 

The show will featured 6 piece bands: Le Chéile (formed in the heyday of Irish music in London during the 1970s) and The London Lasses and Pete Quinn, celebrating their 20th Anniversary year.

 

We also heard the album launch of The Wavy Bow by the internationally renowned father and son duo John and James Carty, with Jonas Fromseier.
