They Float Up FB Event Banner Transparen

Quirky, bubbly Joan walks into a bar in New Orleans. Serious, sullen Darnell is not in the mood to talk. A random encounter between two lost and lonely people sparks this funny, feel-good story of human connection.

Bewley's Cafe Theatre is proud to present online, its production of They Float Up by Jacquelyn Reingold, which charmed and entertained audiences in the Cafe Theatre in 2019. This was the European Premiere of this work by Jacquelyn Reingold, writer of Grace and Frankie, The Good Fight and In Treatment.  As well as writing for Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Gabriel Byrne, Hope Davis and Cynthia Nixon, Jacquelyn is the recipient of awards, grants and commissions from the Kennedy Center Fund and the New York Foundation of the Arts among others and has been a finalist for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
